How do I make an appointment?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You can make an appointment via mail. We plan +\/- 4 months upfront, since we do not work with the \u2018walk-in\u2019 method. <\/span><\/p>\n

We post on social media when the bookings will be open for an artist. When the 4 months are filled in, the bookings will be closed for another 4 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If the bookings are open, you can make an appointment by going to the page of the artist on this website and choose the button \u2018make an appointment\u2019. Fill in the form as complete as you can, in order for the artist can asses the request. If your request is within the style and method of the artist, you will receive an email to discuss a date. The artist will submit the next open spot in his\/her agenda. When a date is confirmed, you will be asked to make a down payment to confirm the appointment.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Method<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

After the confirmation of your appointment, you will probably have to wait for some months for the moment of the century; your own BlackBear Inky. You can request your design 2 days before your appointment via mail. If you want to change the design at that point, you can tell the artist and you will change this together in the shop. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cancel appointment<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Cancelling an appointment will affect the down payment. If you cancel 24 hours in advance, you can either choose to get it back as a gift voucher or as a down payment for your next appointment. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you cancel it within 24 hours, we are forced to keep the down payment because we will not find someone to fill in that spot on such short notice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I use my gift voucher on the webshop?
\n<\/strong>Sadly, the tattoo gift voucher cannot be used on the webshop.<\/p>\n

Rates<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Pricing <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The price of your tattoo is not based on hourly rates. You can ask for an indication after your request for your tattoo is confirmed. The exact price can be given when the design is finished. <\/span><\/p>\n

Start rate<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the hygienic proceedings, we handle as shop the starting rate of 100,-<\/span><\/p>\n

Down payment<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

We ask for every tattoo a down payment as confirmation of the appointment. The exact amount can vary. The down payment will be settled with the total price. <\/span><\/p>\n

Payment options <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

It is possible to pay with cash and by card in the shop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Preparation<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

How do I prepare?<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

We recommend to be well-fed and hydrated for your appointment. Best case scenario is that you do not party to much the night before; alcohol dilutes your blood, which leads to dilution of our pigments & this will have a negative effect on your tattoo. You can come in relaxed and calm; you are in capable hands!<\/span><\/p>\n

Aftercare<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Carl & Johan<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Having tattoo skills is very important for a good result, but taking care of your tattoo is as much important. We use and sell aftercare products from Carl & Johan. We recommend these products because they are developed especially for the healing process of your tattoo. You can ask in the shop for more information or you can check their website http:\/\/www.carlandjohan.com\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Aftercare<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Getting a tattoo means that your skin will be damaged, which leads to a wound. If you take care of your tattoo (and therefore, for the wound), it will take around six weeks for the wound to heal. This depends of course of the size of your tattoo. <\/span><\/p>\n

The following are simple rules you will have to follow strictly for a good result;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 leave the foil for about 4 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 wash your hands (preferably with disinfectant soap).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Wash your tattoo gently with clean hands and the Carl & Johan Purifiying Soap.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Dry your tattoo by dabbling gently with a clean towel (dab dab dab)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 smear with a clean finger a teensy bit of Carl & Johan Regeneration Cream on your tattoo. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 put on some new foil. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Repeat this 3 times a day for 2 days. <\/span><\/p>\n

You can remove the foil after some days and intensive care, but the following rules are applied during the next phase of the healing process:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Wash your tattoo 2 times a day very gently with Carl & Johan Purifiying Soap. This can also be done in the shower, but make sure other soaps do not contact your tattoo because the components of some soaps can cause damage to your tattoo. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 If your shampoo gets in your tattoo anyway, make sure you rinse immediately. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Dab Dab Dab your tattoo gently with a clean towel and put on your red dress baby.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Smear with a clean finger a bit of Carl & Johan Regeneration Cream on your tattoo and wear your smile.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Smear your tattoo 4 times a day with clean hands and especially when the tattoo feels dry. Don\u2019t put on too much, because the skin needs to breathe in the healing process. <\/span><\/p>\n

A little bit of skin and crust will arise on your tattoo after 3 or 4 days; DO NOT PULL THEM OFF. This will lead to lighter spots on your tattoo. The stuff will fall off without your help. Pinky swear.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do\u2019s and Dont\u2019s:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 if your skin gets irritated while having foil on your tattoo, release the foil and wash the tattoo with Carl & Johan Purifying Soap and leave it breathe. Do not forget to put on Carl & Johan Regeneration Cream. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Do not wear tight, dirty, hairy or wool clothing on the tattoo-wound. Please don\u2019t. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Try to touch your tattoo as less as possible or make sure your hands are clean when you really have to. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Do not cover your tattoo with band-aid or bandage.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Do not let the tattoo come in contact with animals or dirt. Clean the tattoo with Carl & Johan Purifying Soap when this occurs. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 During the healing process, avoid contact with swimming pools, bubble baths, and seawater and do not use a bath, steaming-bath or sauna.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo in the healing process (even with sunblock). After the tattoo is healed, always use high sunblock on the tattoo. <\/span><\/p>\n

Contact your doctor by extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, pus & colour change of the wound. <\/span><\/p>\n

Series & Flashes<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Gripper<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes we have a tattoo gripper! If you like a challenge and want to practice your carnival-skills; come to the tattoo gripper day! On this special day, numbered little teddybears are put in the machine. The numbers on the bears match a design. The first one in is the first one who gets to try to take his\/her favourite design. All designs are unique and will be tattooed once. You will get a gift voucher from the shop if you got a little bear with a design you really don\u2019t want to.<\/span><\/p>\n

Online series<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Once a serie is put online, you can reserve them via the mail of the artist. If you are the first to mail, an appointment will be made and a down payment will be done. The designs will only be tattooed once and the first responder is the first one who gets it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aftercare regular piercings<\/strong><\/p>\n

By getting a piercing, the skin will be torn, which will cause a wound. The aftercare of a piercing is just as important as the professionalism of the piercer.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s normal that the piercing will swell in the weeks after it\u2019s been pierced. Because of that, you will get jewellery with a longer bar at first. <\/span><\/p>\n

Characteristics like redness, crusts, light pain (when you touch the piercing) and wound fluid are completely normal. <\/span><\/p>\n

Try to touch the piercing as less as possible during the healing process. We advise sterilizing your hands first if you really need to touch it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Applying aftercare:<\/i>
\nUse the Neilmed: Neilcleanse Piercing Aftercare<\/b> salt solution twice a day.
\nOnce in the morning and once in the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spray the salt solution on all sides of the piercing, let it soak for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to rinse the salt solution with water after 5 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dab the piercing to dry it, you can use a (sterile)gauze, cotton bud or paper towel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Neilmed: Neilcleanse Piercing Aftercare salt solution<\/b> is not suitable for oral piercings or intimate piercings.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Advise & Tips:<\/em><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Take good care of the piercing during the healing process and do not change the jewellery.<\/p>\n

Avoid swimming in the swimming pool or sea, steam cabins or saunas for 6-8 weeks.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to not apply any\u00a0 <\/span>(body)lotions, creams, foundation, concealers etc. on the piercing.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have a cartilage piercing, make sure any pressure with items must be avoided.
\nLike scooter helmets, horse riding helmets, headphones etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Try to avoid sleeping on the ear which is pierced.<\/p>\n

Dying your hair and the use of hairspray should be avoided as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Aftercare oral piercings:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Use the Dentaid: Perio-Aid Active Control mouthwash<\/b> twice a day.
\nOnce in the morning and once in the evening, after brushing your teeth.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Use the cap of the mouthwash and will this with 5ml of mouthwash. Rinse your mouth for 1 minute with the mouth wash, do not swallow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dentaid: Perio-Aid Active Control mouthwash <\/b>is only supposed for oral piercings. It\u2019s not suitable for any other piercings like intimate or regular piercings.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t use the Dentaid: Perio-Aid Active Control mouthwash <\/b>any longer than the healing process of your piercing.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Allergic reaction:<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Dentaid: Perio-Aid Mouthwash<\/b> contains chlorhexidine which can cause an allergic reaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Symptoms of an allergic reaction may be: skin rash, difficulties with breathing, cold sweat, dizziness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stop using the product immediately if any of the above applies after using the mouthwash. We advise to contact your piercer, your doctor and\/or first aid.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Side-effects
\n<\/i>
\nWhen having an oral piercing a couple of things need to be avoided, like consuming spicy food or citrus fruits, smoking and oral sex.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chlorhexidine, which is present in the Dentaid: Perio-Acid Control mouthwash<\/b> can cause short- or longterm symptoms like:
\nDiscolouration of the teeth, discolouration of the tongue, discolouration of prostheses, a burning sensation, a change in taste and\/or a dry mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Often the side-effects disappear when you stop using the mouthwash. If this is not applicable, we advise you to contact your piercer or doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
