Anne is a scientific illustrator and Hanne’s botanical apprentice. She completed her master’s degree in Scientific Illustration in Maastricht last summer and is now at the very beginning of her apprenticeship at BlackBear Ink.

Her love for nature started at a young age and is clearly reflected in her work. Anne draws plants and animals down to the smallest details, with a particular soft spot for birds. Creating something beautiful is not enough for her: it also needs to be anatomically accurate and true to nature.

During her apprenticeship, Anne will learn how to translate her scientific eye and detailed illustrations into tattoos. Ultimately, she hopes to develop her own style where nature, precision and art come together.
